The Blessing In Waiting

Waiting for something can sometimes seem like it's an eternity. For example: The process to finish school, drive in rush hour traffic, grow plants, get your hair done, have a baby, baking a cake, etc.

Being single can seem like a long wait, especially when you are anxious to meet "the one" God has just for you. There are times that you begin to wonder if you're ever going to meet that special "one". I admit that being single has it's challenges. The landscape seems a bit dull, compared to the beautiful plush garden groves you see in the world around you. Your heart begins to settle on going to the club, speed dating, going on blind dates, on "hooking up" with somebody on a social media site.

The real blessing is in waiting. I know that sounds corny & foolish, but it's a powerful truth that many give up on too early, because of impatience. I've learned that waiting creates strength, wisdom, and character. Some may think I'm wasting my youth, but I know I'm not missing out on anything, because when it's my season, I'm gonna enjoy every blessed moment of it.

Whenever I minister about sexual purity and abstinence, there is a part of me that is strengthened to stay consistent & faithful in my purpose to wait. Lately my focus has been on walking out my destiny, so I can be a blessing to God's kingdom. Sure, thoughts flutter my mind on meeting my husband some day, but I know God has that all planned out for me, so I'm not worrying.

Trust God, the one who knows you best, with your heart. He won't ever fail you. Focus on the purpose of your singleness & fulfill that assignment, before charging towards the assignment of marriage. Let your desperation for more of God be more than the desire to be married. With that in mind, you won't ever feel lonely, overlooked, or forgotten.

My profression of faith:

I am blessed, because I choose to wait. I am a virtuous woman of God, who sees waiting as a privilege. My life is a sweet aroma, in honor of God's command to remain abstinent, until marriage. I honor my future husband, by showing self respect in remaining pure. I am a woman of integrity & will not compromise my standards for anyone or anything. I am a generation changer and I walk in my royal status as a priest, just as Jesus.

Amen,

Lady Terran
